WHAT: The 19th Latinx Leadership & College Experience Camp (LLCEC)
COST: FREE
DATES: July 28th, 2024--August 2nd, 2024
LOCATIONS: Transylvania University (Residence Halls) and Bluegrass Community & Technical College (Activities)
Hosted by Bluegrass Community & Technical College Diversity, Equity and Inclusion's Latinx Initiatives & Services Office (LISO).
Sponsored by: EVERYBODY COUNTS! KY
Youth will get to attend workshops and college-like classes, get to know university professors and college students, and learn from community leaders, artists, and professionals. In addition to this, participants will explore themes such as leadership, identity, Latinx, indigenous, and Black history, and community involvement. They will participate in sports, theater, art, music, and dance activities. Other camp activities like the end-of-camp college Fair, rock climbing, movies, dance lessons, and the opportunity to meet incredible mentors and current college students that share their lived experiences.
STEP 1: Fill out the Interest Form
STEP 2: Participate in LLCEC Orientation with your parents/ legal guardians.
**At the LLCEC Orientation Meeting, families will sign LLCEC permission forms, sign up for LLCEC classes, and receive the LLCEC orientation packet while meeting the team and university student leaders.

Los jovenes participaran en talleres y clases universitarias, conocerán a profesores y estudiantes universitarios y aprenderán de líderes comunitarios, artistas y profesionales. Además, los participantes exploraran temas como liderazgo, identidad, historia Latina, Indígena y Afrolatina, y la importancia de el servicio a la comunidad. También participaran en actividades deportivas, , artísticas, musicales y de danza. Otras actividades incluyen una feria universitaria, películas, lecciones de baile y la oportunidad de conocer líderes de la comunidad Latina.
1r PASO: Llena esta solicitud
2do PASO: Participa en una Orientación para confirmar su lugar con tus padres o tutores legales.
**En la orientación las familias firmaran contratos de participacion, se inscribirán en las clases de LLCEC y recibirán el paquete de orientación de LLCEC al conocer a el Equipo del programa y líderes estudiantiles .
